Jesus Prophecy

Jesus Prophecy

Prophecy
in the Bible, are scriptures that tell about future events, example: profits prophesied to the rulers of Israel that the kingdom was going to fall before it fell. The kingdom was taken over by King Nebuchadnezzar.

Jesus was told of before His birth. Many, many tellings of Him, (prophecies).

Kind of like you live in Israel and someone said If you look, you can find this person, He will be from this location, Bethlehem, He is related to the great king Davit, A ruler named Herod put him on Herod's most wanted list dead or dead when He was a baby, spent some time in Egypt, John the Baptist can point Him out, He is anointed to preach, He has good new to the poor, Heals the brokenhearted, deliverance to the captive, heals the blind, He road on a donkey into Jerusalem, to name a few things about Him.

Do you think you could point Him out when you found Him?

The odds of one man to complete all of what was written, is a high number. I don't know what that number is, but I've heard calculations on some Scriptures, not all of them. And that was a big number.

The ones you can read about here are just a few, there are so many, many, more.

We as believers are to test the spirit that is if someone says something we look at the word of God. I would say Jesus the Christ, fulfillment of all these prophecies pass the test.

Hope, this helps strengthen your faith in the Lord, Jesus Christ.

Luke 24:44 KJV

23 [a]Behold, the virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son,
And they shall call his name [b]Immanuel;

which is, being interpreted, God with us.

2 Samuel 7 ASV
12 When thy days are fulfilled, and thou shalt sleep with thy fathers, I will set up thy seed after thee, that shall proceed out of thy bowels, and I will establish his kingdom. 13 He shall build a house for my name, and I will establish the throne of his kingdom for ever. 14 I will be his father, and he shall be my son: if he commit iniquity, I will chasten him with the rod of men, and with the stripes of the children of men; 15 but my lovingkindness shall not depart from him, as I took it from Saul, whom I put away before thee. 16 And thy house and thy kingdom shall be made sure for ever before thee: thy throne shall be established for ever. 17 According to all these words, and according to all this vision, so did Nathan speak unto David.

Righteous Branch of Davit

Jeremiah 33:14-16 ASV

John the Baptist

Isaiah 40:3-5 ASV
3 The voice of one [a]that crieth, Prepare ye in the wilderness the way of Jehovah; make level in the desert a highway for our God. 4 Every valley shall be exalted, and every mountain and hill shall be made low; and the uneven shall be made level, and the rough places a plain: 5 and the glory of Jehovah shall be revealed, and all flesh shall see it together; for the mouth of Jehovah hath spoken it.

Malachi 3:1 ASV

Genesis 14:17-20 ASV
And the king of Sodom went out to meet him, after his return from the slaughter of Chedorlaomer and the kings that were with him, at the vale of Shaveh (the same is the King’s Vale). 18 And Melchizedek king of Salem brought forth bread and wine: and he was priest of [a]God Most High. 19 And he blessed him, and said, Blessed be Abram of [b]God Most High, [c]possessor of heaven and earth: 20 and blessed be [d]God Most High, who hath delivered thine enemies into thy hand. And he gave him a tenth of all.

Psalm 110:4 ASV

Thou art a priest for ever
After the [a]order of Melchizedek.

[a]Thou art my Son,
This day have I begotten thee:
6 as he saith also in another place,
[b]Thou art a priest for ever
After the order of Melchizedek.

Luke 4:16-21 KJV

16 And he came to Nazareth, where he had been brought up: and, as his custom was, he went into the synagogue on the sabbath day, and stood up for to read.

17 And there was delivered unto him the book of the prophet Esaias. And when he had opened the book, he found the place where it was written,

The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised,

19 To preach the acceptable year of the Lord.

20 And he closed the book, and he gave it again to the minister, and sat down. And the eyes of all them that were in the synagogue were fastened on him.

21 And he began to say unto them, This day is this scripture fulfilled in your ears.
Isaiah 61

A ministry to the Gentiles

Isaiah 9 KJV
9 Nevertheless the dimness shall not be such as was in her vexation, when at the first he lightly afflicted the land of Zebulun and the land of Naphtali, and afterward did more grievously afflict her by the way of the sea, beyond Jordan, in Galilee of the nations.

2 The people that walked in darkness have seen a great light: they that dwell in the land of the shadow of death, upon them hath the light shined.

 Matthew 4 ASV
12 Now when he heard that John was delivered up, he withdrew into Galilee; 13 and leaving Nazareth, he came and dwelt in Capernaum, which is by the sea, in the borders of Zebulun and Naphtali: 14 that it might be fulfilled which was spoken through Isaiah the prophet, saying,
15 [h]The land of Zebulun and the land of Naphtali,
[i]Toward the sea, beyond the Jordan,
Galilee of the [j]Gentiles,
16 The people that sat in darkness
Saw a great light,
And to them that sat in the region and shadow of death,
To them did light spring up.
17 From that time began Jesus to preach, and to say, Repent ye; for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.

Stone of stumbling

Isaiah 8:14 ASV

Psalm 118:22 ASV
22 The stone which the builders rejected
Is become the head of the corner.

Matthew 21:42 ASV
42 Jesus saith unto them, Did ye never read in the scriptures,[a]The stone which the builders rejected,
The same was made the head of the corner;
This was from the Lord,
And it is marvellous in our eyes?

Jesus riding on a donkey

Zechariah 9:9 World English Bible
9 Rejoice greatly, daughter of Zion!
Shout, daughter of Jerusalem!
Behold, your King comes to you!
He is righteous, and having salvation;
lowly, and riding on a donkey,
even on a colt, the foal of a donkey.

Matthew 21 World English Bible
2 saying to them, “Go into the village that is opposite you, and immediately you will find a donkey tied, and a colt with her. Untie them and bring them to me. 3 If anyone says anything to you, you shall say, ‘The Lord needs them,’ and immediately he will send them.”4 All this was done that it might be fulfilled which was spoken through the prophet, saying,
5 “Tell the daughter of Zion,
behold, your King comes to you,
humble, and riding on a donkey,
on a colt, the foal of a donkey.”
6 The disciples went and did just as Jesus commanded them, 7 and brought the donkey and the colt and laid their clothes on them; and he sat on them. 8 A very great multitude spread their clothes on the road. Others cut branches from the trees and spread them on the road. 9 The multitudes who went in front of him, and those who followed, kept shouting, “Hosanna[b] to the son of David! Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord! Hosanna in the highest!”

Betrayed

Psalm 41:9 ASV
9 Yea, mine own familiar friend, in whom I trusted,
Who did eat of my bread,
Hath lifted up his heel against me.

Psalm 55:12-14 ASV
12 For it was not an enemy that reproached me;
Then I could have borne it:
Neither was it he that hated me that did magnify himself against me;
Then I would have hid myself from him:
13 But it was thou, a man mine equal,
My companion, and my familiar friend.
14 We took sweet counsel together;
We walked in the house of God with the throng.

Matthew 26:20-25 ASV
20 Now when even was come, he was [a]sitting at meat with the twelve [b]disciples; 21 and as they were eating, he said, Verily I say unto you, that one of you shall [c]betray me. 22 And they were exceeding sorrowful, and began to say unto him every one, Is it I, Lord? 23 And he answered and said, He that dipped his hand with me in the dish, the same shall [d]betray me. 24 The Son of man goeth, even as it is written of him: but woe unto that man through whom the Son of man is [e]betrayed! good were it [f]for that man if he had not been born. 25 And Judas, who [g]betrayed him, answered and said, Is it I, Rabbi? He saith unto him, Thou hast said.

Matthew 26:47-50 ASV
47 And while he yet spake, lo, Judas, one of the twelve, came, and with him a great multitude with swords and staves, from the chief priests and elders of the people. 48 Now he that [a]betrayed him gave them a sign, saying, Whomsoever I shall kiss, that is he: take him. 49 And straightway he came to Jesus, and said, Hail, Rabbi; and [b]kissed him. 50 And Jesus said unto him, Friend, do that for which thou art come. Then they came and laid hands on Jesus, and took him.

John 13:18-19 ASV
18 I speak not of you all: I know whom I [a]have chosen: but that the scripture may be fulfilled, [b]He that eateth [c]my bread lifted up his heel against me. 19 From henceforth I tell you before it come to pass, that, when it is come to pass, ye may believe that I am he.

Zechariah 11:12-13 ASV
12 And I said unto them, If ye think good, give me my hire; and if not, forbear. So they weighed for my hire thirty pieces of silver. 13 And Jehovah said unto me, Cast it unto the potter, the goodly price that I was prized at by them. And I took the thirty pieces of silver, and cast them unto the potter, in the house of Jehovah.

Matthew 26 ASV
14 Then one of the twelve, who was called Judas Iscariot, went unto the chief priests, 15 and said, What are ye willing to give me, and I will [f]deliver him unto you? And they weighed unto him thirty pieces of silver.

Matthew 27 ASV
3 Then Judas, who [a]betrayed him, when he saw that he was condemned, repented himself, and brought back the thirty pieces of silver to the chief priests and elders, 4 saying, I have sinned in that I [b]betrayed [c]innocent blood. But they said, What is that to us? see thou to it. 5 And he cast down the pieces of silver into the sanctuary, and departed; and he went away and hanged himself. 6 And the chief priests took the pieces of silver, and said, It is not lawful to put them into the [d]treasury, since it is the price of blood. 7 And they took counsel, and bought with them the potter’s field, to bury strangers in. 8 Wherefore that field was called, The field of blood, unto this day. 9 Then was fulfilled that which was spoken through Jeremiah the prophet, saying, [e]And [f]they took the thirty pieces of silver, the price of him that was priced, [g]whom certain of the children of Israel did price; 10 and [h]they gave them for the potter’s field, as the Lord appointed me.

Isaiah 53:7 ASV
7 He was oppressed, yet when he was afflicted he opened not his mouth; as a lamb that is led to the slaughter, and as a sheep that before its shearers is dumb, so he opened not his mouth.

Matthew 27 ASV
12 And when he was accused by the chief priests and elders, he answered nothing. 13 Then saith Pilate unto him, Hearest thou not how many things they witness against thee? 14 And he gave him no answer, not even to one word: insomuch that the governor marvelled greatly.

The Cross

Psalm 22:16 ASV
16 For dogs have compassed me:
A company of evil-doers have inclosed me;
[a]They pierced my hands and my feet.

Zechariah 12:10 ASV
10 And I will pour upon the house of David, and upon the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the spirit of grace and of supplication; and they shall look unto [a]me whom they have pierced; and they shall mourn for him, as one mourneth for his only son, and shall be in bitterness for him, as one that is in bitterness for his first-born.

Luke 24:39 ASV
39 See my hands and my feet, that it is I myself: handle me, and see; for a spirit hath not flesh and bones, as ye behold me having.

And in my thirst they gave me vinegar to drink.

46 And about the ninth hour Jesus cried with a loud voice, saying, [a]Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani? that is, My God, my God, [b]why hast thou forsaken me?

Psalm 22:18 ASV
18 They part my garments among them,
And upon my vesture do they cast lots.

 John 19:23-24 ASV
23 The soldiers therefore, when they had crucified Jesus, took his garments and made four parts, to every soldier a part; and also the [a]coat: now the [b]coat was without seam, woven from the top throughout. 24 They said therefore one to another, Let us not rend it, but cast lots for it, whose it shall be: that the scripture might be fulfilled, which saith,[c]They parted my garments among them,
And upon my vesture did they cast lots.

Psalm 34:20 ASV

20 He keepeth all his bones:
Not one of them is broken

John 19:36 ASV
36 For these things came to pass, [a]that the scripture might be fulfilled, A bone of him shall not be [b]broken.

Isaiah 53 ASV
53 Who hath believed [a]our message? and to whom hath the arm of Jehovah been revealed? 2 For he grew up before him as a tender plant, and as a root out of a dry ground: he hath no form nor comeliness; [b]and when we see him, there is no beauty that we should desire him. 3 He was despised, and [c]rejected of men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with [d]grief: and [e]as one from whom men hide their face he was despised; and we esteemed him not.
4 Surely he hath borne our [f]griefs, and carried our sorrows; yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted. 5 But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities; the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed. 6 All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and Jehovah hath [g]laid on him the iniquity of us all.
7 He was oppressed, yet when he was afflicted he opened not his mouth; as a lamb that is led to the slaughter, and as a sheep that before its shearers is dumb, so he opened not his mouth. 8 [h]By oppression and judgment he was taken away; and as for his generation, who among them considered that he was cut off out of the land of the [i]living for the transgression of my people to whom the stroke was due? 9 And they made his grave with the wicked, and with a rich man in his death; [j]although he had done no violence, neither was any deceit in his mouth.
10 Yet it pleased Jehovah to bruise him; he hath [k]put him to grief: [l]when thou shalt make his soul [m]an offering for sin, he shall see his seed, he shall prolong his days, and the pleasure of Jehovah shall prosper in his hand. 11 [n]He shall see of the travail of his soul, and shall be satisfied: [o]by the knowledge of himself shall my righteous servant [p]justify many; and he shall bear their iniquities. 12 Therefore will I divide him a portion with the great, and he shall divide the spoil with the strong; because he poured out his soul unto death, and was numbered with the transgressors: yet he bare the sin of many, and [q]made intercession for the transgressors.

Matthew 27:38 KJV
38 Then were there two thieves crucified with him, one on the right hand, and another on the left.

Isaiah 53:9 KJV
9 And he made his grave with the wicked, and with the rich in his death; because he had done no violence, neither was any deceit in his mouth.

Matthew 27:57 KJV
57 When the even was come, there came a rich man of Arimathaea, named Joseph, who also himself was Jesus' disciple:

Psalm 16:10 KJV
10 For thou wilt not leave my soul in hell; neither wilt thou suffer thine Holy One to see corruption.

Matthew 28 KJV
5 And the angel answered and said unto the women, Fear not ye: for I know that ye seek Jesus, which was crucified.
6 He is not here: for he is risen, as he said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay.

Acts 2 KJV
29 Men and brethren, let me freely speak unto you of the patriarch David, that he is both dead and buried, and his sepulchre is with us unto this day.
30 Therefore being a prophet, and knowing that God had sworn with an oath to him, that of the fruit of his loins, according to the flesh, he would raise up Christ to sit on his throne;31 He seeing this before spake of the resurrection of Christ, that his soul was not left in hell, neither his flesh did see corruption.32 This Jesus hath God raised up, whereof we all are witnesses.33 Therefore being by the right hand of God exalted, and having received of the Father the promise of the Holy Ghost, he hath shed forth this, which ye now see and hear.34 For David is not ascended into the heavens: but he saith himself, The Lord said unto my Lord, Sit thou on my right hand, 35 Until I make thy foes thy footstool.
36 Therefore let all the house of Israel know assuredly, that God hath made the same Jesus, whom ye have crucified, both Lord and Christ.

Psalm 16:10 KJV
10 For thou wilt not leave my soul in hell; neither wilt thou suffer thine Holy One to see corruption.

Psalm 110:1 KJV
110 The Lord said unto my Lord, Sit thou at my right hand, until I make thine enemies thy footstool.

Hebrews 1:3 KJV
3 Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on High
